What we do with your information, and what a credential means

What this site collects, and what it does not.

• What we collectThe enquiry form asks for your name, organisation, role, work email, country, organisation type, area of interest, an optional indication of scope and an optional message. We also record the IP address the enquiry arrived from and the time it arrived.
• Why we collect itTo answer you. The address you give is where the reply goes, and the organisation and scope help us answer with something specific rather than a brochure.
• What we do not doWe do not sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, use it to build a profile, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
• Where it is heldEnquiries are stored on our own server in Europe and emailed to our own mailbox. They are not sent to a third-party marketing or CRM platform.
• Certificate verificationChecking a certificate requires no account and sets no cookie for tracking. A verification returns only that the certificate exists, who it was awarded to, which certification and level, when it was issued, its framework release and whether it still stands. It discloses nothing else about the holder - not assessment scores, not cohort, not contact details.
• Cookies and analyticsThis site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and embeds no third-party trackers. Nothing on it loads from another domain.
• Your rightsWrite to info@autodigitid.africa to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. An enquiry is deleted on request; an issued credential cannot be, because the register is the evidence the credential exists.

Short notes on using this website.

• ScopeThese are short notes on using this website. They are not a contract for the supply of certification or services, and they do not override anything agreed in writing with an institution or organisation.
• Using the siteThe site is provided for information and for checking credentials. Do not use the verification service to test identifiers in bulk or to enumerate the register; it is rate limited, and doing so is not something we will help with.
• ContentThe curriculum, framework and published documents are the work of Auto DigitID Africa. Downloadable documents may be circulated within your institution or organisation for the purpose they were written for.
• AccuracyPublished rates, framework releases and curriculum figures are accurate at the time of publication. The curriculum is explicitly a living one and its content changes; an issued certificate stays tied to the framework release printed on it.
• NEEDS REVIEWThis section is deliberately brief. Liability, governing law, dispute resolution and purchase terms are not stated here because they should be drafted by a lawyer rather than inferred. Until that happens, treat any written agreement you hold with us as the operative document.

What we target, what is tested and what is not yet good enough.

• What is tested, and howEvery page is checked automatically on each change for colour contrast against the real composited background, heading order, landmarks, accessible names on every control, alt text, keyboard-driven focus visibility, reduced-motion support and behaviour at 200% zoom. Layout is checked at nine widths from 320px to 1920px for horizontal overflow, clipped text and undersized touch targets.
• Choices this forcedThe brand teal and orange are not used as text colours on light backgrounds - neither reaches the required contrast - so wherever a word carries brand colour it uses a darkened variant that does. Menus are built as native disclosures so they work from the keyboard and without JavaScript.
• Known limitsDownloadable PDFs are generated from source documents and have not been individually remediated for screen-reader tagging. If a document is unusable to you, ask and we will provide its content in another form.
• Telling usEmail info@autodigitid.africa with the page and what happened. An accessibility problem is a defect and is treated as one.

The rules that decide what an Auto DigitID credential is worth.

• One standardThere is one assessment per level. The learning route somebody took does not change it, and there is no lesser version of a credential for those who bought less support.
• Public verificationEvery certificate carries a unique ID and a QR code and can be checked by anyone without an account. The register held by Auto DigitID Africa is the authority on whether a certificate exists.
• Versioned awardsA certificate records the framework release it was assessed against. The curriculum changes; what a given award certified does not.
• RenewalCredentials run on a three-year renewal cycle so that what an employer checks is current practice rather than a historical fact.
• PrerequisitesEach level assumes the one below it. The ladder is a sequence, not a menu.
• RevocationA credential may be withdrawn where it was obtained through misrepresentation or where the assessment is found to have been compromised. A withdrawn certificate verifies as revoked rather than disappearing, so the record stays honest.
• No dilutionVolume changes the seat price and nothing else. It never changes the assessment, the standard, or what the credential says.
