Seat Terms
Seat Terms, for a Professional Certification seat bought by an organisation. Version 1.0.
Version 1.0, 31 October 2026. AUTO DIGITID SOLUTION LIMITED, trading as Auto DigitID Africa (Kenya).
You accept these terms when you claim the seat, in addition to the Learner Terms and Conditions and the Learner Privacy Notice. Where these Seat Terms and those documents differ, these Seat Terms apply to the seat only.
1. Who you are dealing with.
The organisation that invited you paid us for the seat. Your contract for the course, its labs and its assessment is with Auto DigitID Africa (AUTO DIGITID SOLUTION LIMITED), under the Learner Terms and Conditions, from the moment you claim the seat. The organisation is not a party to that contract. Any separate arrangement you have with the organisation, including anything you paid it, is between you and the organisation.
2. One seat, one learner.
- The seat is for you alone. It is tied to the email address the invitation was sent to. You cannot sell it, give it away or pass it to anyone else.
- One email address can hold one Professional Certification seat from an organisation.
- You must be 18 or over to claim a seat. If a seat is claimed by someone under 18, we cancel it and delete their details.
- If a seat was claimed by the wrong person, for example because an email address was mistyped, tell us within 7 days and before any lesson is opened. We may move it to the right person.
3. Claim it before the link expires.
Your link works once, and for 30 days from when it was sent. The email gives the exact date and time (East Africa Time). If it expires, ask the organisation to send a new link. Only the newest link works.
4. Your name on the certificate.
If you already have a learning account with us under the same email address, your certificate uses the name on that account. To change it, write to support@autodigitid.africa before you sit the assessment.
5. The organisation's seats must still be available.
You can claim only while the organisation still has a paid seat that is in date. Organisations' seats can be claimed for a limited time, and unclaimed seats then lapse. If no seat is left, the claim page tells you; contact the organisation. Once you have claimed your seat, the organisation's seats lapsing does not affect you.
6. If the organisation's account is suspended or its agreement ends.
While an organisation's account is suspended, nobody can claim a new seat from it. If its agreement with us ends, an invitation may stay usable only for the limited time that agreement allows; the claim page tells you. A seat you have already claimed stays valid. Your course, your work and your results are not affected.
7. Your assessment is independent.
Your assessment, your results and your credential are Auto DigitID Africa's alone. The organisation cannot assess you, mark your work, change a result, or issue or withdraw a credential, and has no say in any of these. If anyone tries to influence your assessment, tell us at support@autodigitid.africa. The Academic Integrity Policy applies to you as to every learner.
8. Refunds.
- The organisation paid us for this seat, so any refund we make goes to the organisation, not to you.
- The cancellation and refund rights in our Payment, Refund and Cancellation Terms belong to whoever paid. For this seat, that is the organisation, under its agreement with us.
- If you paid the organisation, ask the organisation about a refund. This does not affect any right the law gives you.
- If you buy anything from us yourself (for example, a retake or Professional Plus), the Payment, Refund and Cancellation Terms apply to that purchase in full, including the 7-day cancellation right.
9. If the organisation's payment is refunded or reversed.
A seat you have already claimed is not affected if the organisation's payment to us is later refunded, cancelled or reversed. We will not withdraw your access or your results for that reason. We withdraw results only for your own academic misconduct or fraud, as the Learner Terms and the Academic Integrity Policy say.
10. What the organisation can see.
- The organisation can see that you were invited, whether and when you claimed the seat, and whether your enrolment is set up.
- It cannot see your course progress, your answers, your marks or your results. We share those with it only if you agree, separately and in writing. You can withdraw that agreement at any time.
- If you earn the credential, it appears on the public register, as the Learner Terms say, and anyone can check it there.
11. Your data.
The organisation gave us your name and email so that we could invite you. From the time we receive them, Auto DigitID Africa (AUTO DIGITID SOLUTION LIMITED) is responsible for them as a data controller. Once you claim, we use your data as our Learner Privacy Notice explains. The organisation is responsible, separately, for what it holds about you and for what it does with what we show it. The privacy notice addendum for invited learners explains this.
12. Questions and complaints.
- About your seat, your course or your assessment, or the organisation's conduct in relation to your assessment: write to support@autodigitid.africa. We reply by email.
- About your personal data: write to info@autodigitid.africa. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (www.odpc.go.ke).
- Legal notices: legal@autodigitid.africa.
- Complaints about what the organisation sold you, or charged you: these go to the organisation.
13. Changes.
Each new version of these terms gets a new number. If we change them, we ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
