Auto DigitID Africa builds the capability behind the systems that identify, track, connect and automate operations - as curriculum, as certification, and as advisory work with the institutions that have to run them.
Why this exists
Africa is deploying identification and data capture at scale: national identity, health supply chains, customs and ports, utilities, retail and manufacturing. The technology arrives faster than the capability to specify, integrate, govern and repair it. That gap is where projects fail, and it is filled by people rather than products.
What we hold to
- Vendor-neutral, and structurally soNo manufacturer or software vendor is named anywhere in the curriculum. There is no product to sell, so the teaching can be about the practice and the trade-offs rather than a catalogue. It also means a credential holder is useful to an employer whatever estate they inherit.
- Assessed against evidence, not attendanceA certificate records what someone demonstrated. Assessment is separate from the learning and can be attempted by anyone who already does the work - which is the only way a credential means the same thing whoever holds it.
- Standards-aligned, honestly describedThe curriculum covers GS1 identification and EPCIS, ISO practice, and integration with the enterprise systems these estates run on. It is aligned with those standards and teaches them. It is not accredited or endorsed by the bodies that publish them, and it does not say otherwise.
- Built for African operating environmentsIntermittent power, constrained bandwidth and mixed estates are assumptions in the material, not edge cases in an appendix. So is the reality that the person who specifies a system is often the person who has to repair it.
- Publicly verifiableEvery certificate carries an ID and a QR code, and anyone can check it without an account. A credential nobody can verify is a claim, not a credential.
- A living curriculum, with a fixed awardContent changes as standards and practice change. An issued certificate stays tied to the framework release printed on it, so what it certified remains legible years later.

How the framework is governed
- Curriculum authorityThe framework release is versioned. Changes to scope, assessment or the competence a tier claims are made against that release, not silently.
- Assessment integrityQuestion banks and answer keys are authored and held separately from teaching material, and are not published.
- Credential registerIssued credentials are recorded in an append-only register. The verification service reads that register; it is the authority on whether a certificate exists.
- Disclosure limitsA verification check returns what a credential check should disclose - that the certificate exists, at what level, and whether it is current. Nothing further.

The full set, in one place. Course material and assessment content are not published - that is the product, and a credential is only worth something while the assessment stays closed.
